LIVING A PURPOSEFUL LIFE - PART 4

Living a life of purpose is the purpose of life!

1) When you want to live purposefully, do not see others and get distracted from God's purpose for your life (Rev 22:12). 

2) Set your face like a flint towards God's goal for your life (Isa 50:7-10).

3) Get God's purpose for your life clear through receiving God's dreams and visions (Acts 2:17-18).

4) See life through the spectacles and glasses of the love of God (Rom 5:3-5; 1 John 4:20-21). 

5) See your life in terms of eternity and not in temporal outlook which perishes by time (Col 3:1-2). 

6) Live as though this your last day, but believe that you will live for eternity with the rewards for the work done today for the Lord (Col 3:23-24). Each day's work for the Lord will make much difference in the power, position and reward given by the Lord for eternity.   

THE SEARCH FOR THE MOST FOOLISH MAN - Story

A wealthy and a powerful king called the wisest man in his court, asking him to find the greatest fool in his kingdom.

The king handed the fool's staff to the wisest man. 

And each day the wisest man went to all the domain of the king to find the greatest fool in his kingdom.

One day the king took a important decision and made an announcement of deep regret. As the wisest man was the chief aide for the king and a right hand man, he rushed back to the king's palace where he was lying in his death bed suddenly.

The king said, "I am about to commence on a long long journey. I shall not return, Except I don't know my final destination." 

Immediately the wise man sprang in to action and gave the king his own fool's staff. 

The wise man said to the king, 'Here was a man who was going on a long long journey but did not know his final destination, even though he was unable to return.'

This parable applies to you and me because one of these days we will commence on that long long journey. This is a journey that we must travel and there is no escape from it. We will depart this life.

Etienne de Grellet said, "I shall pass through this life but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it. For I shall never pass this way again."

We shall never pass this way of the life we live each day, so live your best life for the glory of God now. It is now or never for eternity.

Are you spending each day of your life living purposefully in the centre of the will of God for your life? 

If your answer is no, start to live purposefully by taking a good decision to align yourself to the will of God for your life. 

If you answer is yes, praise the Lord! But hold on to what you have till you receive the crown!!!
